Every innovation starts with a prototype.
For us, Constanța INNO Vibe 2025 was exactly that: a prototype of a festival.
We didn’t aim for perfection; we aimed for proof. Proof that Constanța could host a month-long celebration of innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability. Proof that we could bring together students, entrepreneurs, researchers, local leaders, and European partners under one common vision: let’s make the city vibrate with innovation.
We started small – 500 participants, a handful of committed partners, and a team willing to wear many hats at once: organizers, mentors, designers, speakers, connectors. Each role was a learning curve. Each event was a test. Each success, a building block for what comes next.
CoFound Me @ the Beach – where startups pitched by the sea and winners Denki (Best Pitch) and Exclusive Memories (Best Startup) proved that great ideas can be born anywhere.
Ovidius Innovation & Entrepreneurship Summer School (OIESS) – 25 students, 5 interdisciplinary teams, and projects ranging from medical transport robots to AI-powered learning apps.
Pioneers Ideathon – five solutions using AI, AR, and VR for decarbonizing ports: Portflowx, Carbon Cut AR Hub, PortX AI, Green Port AI, and Port Intell-Hub.
Smart Energy 2025 Conference – debates on offshore wind, green finance, and the future of energy with industry and government leaders.
Innovation Dialogues Conference – the flagship event, with panels on urban mobility, AI for good, cybersecurity, tech transfer, and Tourism 4.0.
creatiVE Summer School – reimagining cultural heritage through VR and AR, with 20 participants exploring immersive storytelling.
Startup Weekend Constanța – three days of grit and growth, with Docthora, Loomy, and Thriving Ads taking the top prizes.
ConneCT_EU 2025 – the closing conference that brought together European networks (EEN & EDIH), local voices, and shared visions for resilient communities.
At the closing conference ConneCT_EU 2025, the World Bank, Constanța Metropolitan Area, and City Hall presented for the first time a strategic study positioning Constanța as a future AI Hub, with plans for an AI Data Centre and AI Factory, critical infrastructure for Europe’s digital economy. The study underlined the city’s unique advantages: access to green and nuclear energy, top-level digital and logistic connectivity, water resources for sustainable data centers, strong local authority support, and a specialized tech workforce strengthened by Ovidius University. An AI Factory in Constanța means high-value jobs, attracting global tech companies, and consolidating Europe’s place in the AI-driven economy.
What made INNO Vibe truly matter was not just the agenda, but the community behind it. CITYINNOHUB, together with Ovidius University of Constanța, CCINA, and local groups like Ambasada, Startup CT, and Constanța Developers, aligned their efforts with European networks – EEN, EDIHs, and the Artemis Alliance.
Together, we proved that Constanța has the energy, the talent, and the vision to host an ecosystem-wide innovation movement.
INNO Vibe 1.0 was our pilot edition, our prototype. We showed it can be done. We tested, we learned, and we built the foundation. Now, the challenge is to scale. If 2025 meant 500 participants, in 2026 we aim for 5,000. Bigger, bolder, with more partners and impact. Because every festival worth remembering begins as a prototype. And in Constanța, the vibe has only just begun.
